Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Review

To be honest, I've never tried any  Smashbox products before now. I'd heard a lot of amazing reviews about their make-up in general, so I was super excited to be contacted by Smashbox asking if I'd like to receive some of their products to try.. including the  Camera Ready BB Cream

Shades of Grey: 2 Outfits

Being a person whose moods are most definitely determined by the weather, I literally feel so much more content on the days I can look out my bedroom window and still see daylight after 5pm.. although recently, Ireland seems to be stuck at grey, cold and rainy.. hence the grey outfit to coincide with the weather. All I can say is thank god February is almost over as I'm super excited for the spring/summer months this year and all they've got to bring, not to mention the SS16 styles that I'll be seeing at Belfast Fashion Week in March!

Lancome Grandiose Mascara Set

In 2014, the Lancome Grandiose mascara landed and seemed to have gained so much attention online, mostly because of the unusual 'swan neck' wand. I'd been wanting to try it out for so long, and j ust after Christmas I managed to find this amazing  gift set on sale in Debenhams for around £18, which is a great price considering the mascara itself retails for £25, and there are another two products inside; Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Make-up Remover and Lancome Le Crayon Kohl in '01 Noir'

I've mentioned before about the trouble I have with finding a mascara that makes my lashes look half-way decent.. and one that didn't totally dry out within a few weeks. Benefit Roller Lash worked very well for me in the past, although I'm not a massive fan of the extremely thin and straight wand, which is why I really wanted to try out Grandiose to see if a different shape of wand would make any difference!

Nautical Vibes

I'd say for a lot of people, stripes are definitely a must-have in our wardrobes, whether it is black&white, navy&cream or red&navy combo that you prefer. For me, I'm absolutely loving navy and cream stripes at the moment. Especially coming into Spring, I  love  how they look when paired with a coloured lip and gold jewellery for a little extra bit of colour and detail.

What I love most about stripes is definitely the versatility - you can really go all out with the stripes for a statement look, or use stripes to add subtle detail to a simple outfit. I purchased the navy and grey(ish) kimono that I'm wearing in the image below from H&M a few weeks ago, for very little £££ of course. It is quite oversized on me, so I cinched it in at the waist with a skinny brown belt and added a pop of mustard with my Topshop cami, a denim ASOS skirt and a gold statement necklace to tie it all together. Outfit complete. I'm really loving wearing statement pieces like this recently.. they're so easy to throw on in the morning, and you always look like you've spent more time on your outfit than you actually have! *wink wink*

L'Oreal Pro Matte Infallible Foundation & Primer

If there's one beauty/make-up item that I typically always buy high-end, it's foundation. Over the years I've dabbled with MACBare Minerals and Clinique, all priced around £25. I'd been stuck in the mindset that more expensive = better quality, and it's taken me until I'm almost 21 to realise that isn't always the case. The only foundation from the 'drugstore' that I've really used in the past has been the Revlon Colourstay, which ended up being way too thick, and despite being described as suitable for oily/combination skin, my make-up quite literally melted off throughout the day, so needless to say I was never overly excited for cheaper foundations.

New ZARA Purchases

If you've been following me for a while, it will come as no shock that I've had a little trip to ZARA recently.. yes, again. If there are many of you from Ireland, I always go to the ZARA in Belfast which is a whole shopping trip of its own - I could literally spend a day in there (no exaggeration at all), not to mention spend an entire month's wages in one go!

Skin Detox Masks: High End Vs Drugstore

A thorough skin detox is a routine that has become a weekly necessity for me throughout the past few years. By the time the weekend comes, my skin always feels super needy of some attention, even though I double cleanse and gently exfoliate every night. I'm sure at some point I'll do a full skincare routine post, although I feel that I need a whole post to compare these two products; Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask & Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask

It's only been the past two years or so that I've really gotten into my skincare, as much as I don't like to admit that. I've become so obsessed with my routine that when I hear other people say they don't even cleanse, I want to bury my face in my hands.. and I literally face-palm when somebody says ''I don't take off my make-up at night''. It's beyond me why anybody wouldn't spend even 5 minutes per night to look after their skin, especially when the long-term effects of not taking care of your skin are so drastic!

Topshop Khaki Midi Dress

2015 has definitely been the year that khaki green has become massive in fashion. While it mightn't be a shade for everyone, I've been absolutely loving it, not to mention buying way too many pieces in this colour!  I found this khaki green midi dress in the Topshop January sales for £22, and while it is knee-length which a lot of people may find to be an awkward length, I love the look when paired with a skinny belt and knee high boots.
